Thanks so much for posting this article. I really enjoyed reading it. I work with a wonderful group of MD’s who really do provide empathetic care. However, I do think that my specialty may be one of those very personable specialties.
The frequent flier situation made smile. We do sometimes have those scenarios and it is often so important to look at the patient in a holistic manner. There is a clearly something much bigger going on in these situations than what meets the eye. Often times we are the only source of consistency in their lives which is so very sad.
